The most impressionable time for a puppy is between 7th through the 16th week. We encourage our clients to sign up for our training program after the puppies’ 12th week of age. They generally grow up healthier, happier and most of all, obedient adult dogs.

It’s the worst thing you could do to your pets. We never punish your dogs. We simply correct them. Clients will learn how to communicate with their dogs through our methods of correction and praise.

”SIT” is the foundation for all obedience. All other commands, and control branch from this one simple exercise. Even for those who don’t care to teach “formal” obedience, “SIT” will still be a valuable tool.

3. Praise. Focus on praising when things are going well, rather than correcting the dog.

4. Firm. Be assertive and consistent. Remember “Firm” does not mean MEAN!

5. Fun. Training is stressful. Praising and talking to your dog makes it more fun.

6. Fair. Help your dogs understand what you want from them. If they have a good understanding of your expectations, it is easier to correct and show them the appropriate behavior.
